Alex has been a UK registered dietitian since graduating from Coventry University with a first-class honours degree in 2015.
She has vast experience working in the NHS as a specialist Band 7 community dietitian conducting home visits, clinics, inpatient ward work and group education sessions. She is also registered with the British Dietetic Association and the Health & Care Professions Council.
Her current NHS role allows her to help individuals with various dietary related concerns, such as malnutrition, weight management, swallowing difficulties, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, irritable bowel syndrome, tube feeding and many, many more.
Outside of her NHS role, Alex collaborates with local fertility centres and specialises in preconception nutrition. She is also active on social media, writes professional articles for newspapers, magazines and blogs, and works on recipe development projects.
Alex is passionate about using the science behind nutrition to help individuals to achieve personal goals and live a healthier, happier life.
Services
1:1 consultations
Alex offers 1:1 consultations to provide individualised, patient-centred dietary advice. This can include a full nutritional analysis using specialist software, dietetic action plan, shopping lists and a summary letter.
Group education
Group talks are a fun and interactive way to learn in numbers. If you’re searching for healthy cooking tips, educational talks or group sessions around particular medical conditions please get in touch (this can be either face to face or virtually).
Health writing
Alex has a lot of experience in both recipe development and writing health articles for newspapers, professional magazines and blogs. It is essential that nutritional research, evidence and guidelines are displayed to the public in a user-friendly and relatable manor.
